Wi"DRIVE

Introducing the first truly Portable Wireless Hard Drive & Pocket-Sized Server
At only the size of a typical PDA, the Wi”DRIVE operates on an internal rechargeable Li-ion battery (as well as AC power) delivering a high level of mobility and mass storage space.
Measures 102 x 72 x 20 mm
Weighs only 230g (including battery!)
The Wi”DRIVE works not only with notebooks and PCs, but also with just about all Wi-Fi enabled devices (such as Sony PSP (with Wi-Fi built-in as standard), Wi-Fi Video and Digital Cameras, Wi-Fi Access Points, Wi-Fi Mobile Phones, etc.
Traditionally, Hard Drives are connected to computing device such as PCs or Notebooks physically via cable. With the introduction of the innovative Wi"DRIVE, the need for such physical connection has been eliminated with IEEE 802.11b/g wireless technology now being used as the medium of connectivity. The user is now free from the hassle of fiddling with connecting cables and able to enjoy storage capacity that is no longer limited by physically connected storage devices.
By converging together wireless and storage technology, Wi"DRIVE enhances the experience of data mobility by providing users with seamless access to their data storage. In addition, through the wireless network, Wi"DRIVE enables data storage to be seamlessly shared among users or other computing devices.
Wi"DRIVE emerges as the result of a unique communication protocol that has been developed to optimize the use of wireless bandwidth for block storage data transfer between end computing devices (PC/Laptop) and the Wi"DRIVE itself. Block-level storage is similar to a traditional internal hard drive, providing better efficiency and direct storage management functions such as formatting and partitioning not seen in conventional file sharing approaches.
With its storage capacity, and CPU and RAM built-in, the Wi"DRIVE is also a wireless pocket-sized server!
Use with (ad-hoc mode) or without an Access Point (infrastructure mode)!
Offers DHCP server function in ad-hoc mode and DHCP client function in infrastructure mode
The Wi"DRIVE is available now. Contact us for configuration and pricing. Reseller and volume enquiries are welcome.
